Problem:
Many of our Outfitters manage bookings across multiple platforms, including AirBnB, Guidesly, FishingBooker, OwnerRez, and others. This creates a risk of discrepancies in availability on Mallard Bay when bookings are made elsewhere but not manually updated in our system. As a result, Outfitters may receive double bookings or need to cancel reservations, leading to a poor customer experience, lost revenue, and frustration for both Outfitters and sportsmen. The manual effort required to keep multiple calendars updated is time-consuming and error-prone, making it difficult for Outfitters to manage their schedules efficiently.
Solution:
To address this issue, we propose developing an automated system that will allow Outfitters to connect a 3rd Party calendar. By importing these events, we can automatically adjust availability on the Mallard Bay calendar in real-time, reducing the risk of double bookings. Additionally, the system will provide clear visibility into these adjustments by displaying a reason for the change within the dashboard and mobile app.
This solution streamlines the booking management process, minimizes scheduling conflicts, and enhances the Outfitter experience by reducing manual workload and improving overall accuracy.
Additionally, we will provide the option to export select listings and/or resources, so that an Outfitter can import those events into another 3rd Party platform.

The core problem we're looking to solve is having accurate availability for charter captains, especially for those that are still taking bookings offline or using other platforms - which is pretty much inevitable until they fully adopt GuideTech. Captain Troy Nash, of LA Redfishing Charters, brought up one example of this
One example, of this was brought up by Captain Troy Nash w/ LA Redfishing Charters, so he might be a good person to talk to.
My understanding is thatauto-update Guidesly will auto update your Guidesly calendar based on scanning your emails for booking confirmations from fishingbooker and other software.
I think this would be a valuable feature to add as we look at bringing on more charter captains in the coming months.
